Mobile Medical Unit launched with CSR support from Aditya Birla Capital in Osmanabad district.

Through the CSR support of Aditya Birla Capital, we have launched a new Mobile Medical Unit (MMU) to provide quality healthcare services at the doorstep of 24 interior unserved villages covering a population of 58,000 beneficiaries in Osmanabad, an aspirational district that requires attention as per Niti Ayog.

This MMUΒ is a full-body bus with a doctors chamber, laboratory, nursing section with one bed and pharmacy chamber which aims at providing primary health services, creating awareness on Covid prevention and vaccination, providing maternal and child health care and supporting patients with non-communicable diseases along with the focus on preventive health.

This initiative has added up our reach to a population of 2,71,995 across 126 villages in Osmanabad and Latur districts with much-needed health services during these challenging times of pandemic..

Sparsh Hospital – Preparing for the third wave of Covid 19 through Clinical and Preventive Care.

Keeping in mind all precautionary measures, Sparsh Rural Hospital has worked around the clock during this pandemic. It continues to make efforts to control the spread of covid and flatten the curve through its Special fever OPDs, Covid testing, Covid vaccination drives, and conducting awareness campaigns on covid prevention and vaccination.

Our impact so far:
β€’ 146 awareness campaigns on covid prevention and vaccination conducted covering a population of 2.5L in remote villages of Osmanabad and Latur districts
β€’ 10,942 individuals received covid vaccination through SPARSH
β€’ 40,575 covid symptomatic patients screened and treated through Special Fever OPD
β€’ 9395 covid tests were conducted of which 1150 tested covid positive.

55 Asha workers were provided with protinex nutrition powders for their well-being as they were relentlessly dedicated to creating awareness in the interior rural villages on Covid preventions and proper hygiene practices and also ensuring healthcare & safety of the mother & children even during COVID 19. They are the true unsung heroes of India’s grassroot level front liners.

Precaution is better than cure

A multimedia van is initiated to create awareness on covid prevention and vaccination in preparation of the third wave of COVID 19, using loudspeaker units, pamphlet distribution, using IEC Materials covering 76 remote villages at Osmanabad, Latur Districts and also villages within a radius of 45 kms of SPARSH Rural Hospital.

Ever since the battle against Covid 19 began in 2020, PRIDE India has been committed in its efforts, ensuring safety for vulnerable families through the distribution of food & hygiene kits, sanitary napkins for adolescent girls and women, livelihood support, awareness campaigns on Covid prevention and vaccination, support to frontline workers and the supply of oxygen concentrators in the Covid Care Centres.

On this Independence Day, we were honoured to be felicitated by the Raigad Zilla Parishad for this district award towards providing the safety nets for the poor and vulnerable families in Raigad District.

We thank the Raigad Zilla Parishad for their encouragement towards our work. We also thank all our board members, donors, well-wishers, supporters and especially all our team members who have worked tirelessly on the ground saving the affected families from the ill effects of the pandemic.

599 Raigad flood-affected families were supported with basic requirements for survival during this time of crisis

The devastating impact of the Raigad floods amid the pandemic woes has left many families stranded with misery and immense human suffering.

PRIDE India’s immediate Response for Relief to the Raigad flood victims with blankets, towels, food and hygiene items, and water purification drops provided them assistance and hope for survival saving them from hunger.

599 flood-affected families were supported through this initiative.Β We express our heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Queens Necklace Charitable Trust for their generous support to these families in these crucial times.

226 underprivileged children and families supported with Food packets

PRIDE India, with the support from Altry Foundation, organized a Covid relief food distribution effort in the villages of Sudhagad Pali and Mahad blocks in the Raigad district. 226 underprivileged children and families who are dependent on daily wages and those who lost livelihood due to pandemic were provided with dry ration to manage their basic needs during these challenging times. This distribution drive also focused on sensitization on covid prevention and vaccination awareness in those villages.
